My learning object is a Popplet on Ontario. This graphic organizer is an example of how students can summarize their knowledge on a topic in a visually engaging and tech-enhaced way. Popplet is a very accessible and easy to use tool. Best of all, students can register for free.
This specific popplet connects to the Grade 4 curriculum. Students are required to learn about the physical and political regions of Canada and their attributes. For a culminating task, students could be required to create a booth at a Canadian Information Fair. One component of the information they present would be a graphic organizer (popplet) that outlines how all of the information they have presented about their province is connected.
